WWE SmackDown kicked off live from the Thunderdome, and we had Mr. Vince McMahon inside the ring and started talking about the SummerSlam 2020. Lights began to flicker, and next, we see Bray Wyatt coming out. He faced Vince and started mocking him inside the ring, and then Braun Strowman appeared on the show.

- The Golden Role Models faced a difficult time at the show.
- Braun Strowman got attacked by The Retribution.
- With Mr. Vince McMahon, we had The Fiend inside the ring.
- There was a massive change in the title at SmackDown.
McMahon left the ring when we had Braun inside the ring, and The Retribution surrounded the ring. Bray Wyatt signs for goodbye, lights were flickering after that when the lights were on-again, The Fiend had left.
The Retribution began to attack Braun, and most of the locker room came outside to defend the ring at SmackDown. Drew Gulak went for helping Strowman, Braun attacked McIntyre and Jey Uso before leaving.
Retribution came and attacked Braun Strowman, and most of the locker room came out to defend the SmackDown ring at the Thunderdome. Drew Gulak helped Strowman up after they made the group retreat, but Braun attacked Drew and Jey Uso before walking out.

1. Sheamus vs. Big E
On SmackDown, the first match kicked off as we return from the break. Early in the game, Sheamus was moved out where the Superstars from WWE were waiting for defending the ring from The Retribution. As the game continued, Big E took control and hit a splash on the apron.
Sheamus made his comeback with a rope clothesline this time, and a massive backbreaker followed this to Big E, and we had another break after this. Sheamus then went for hitting a knee strike and missed a White Noise after that.
Sheamus dodged big E and went for hitting the Spear to the White Noise. Meanwhile, at the ringside, there was a brawl started between Matt Riddle and Baron Corbin. The fight distracted Sheamus, and this allowed Big E to pick up his win by rolling-up.
Result: Big E is the winner
2. Lucha House Party vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro (c) – A SmackDown tag title match
On SmackDown, Cesaro and Metalik kicked us off, and in the beginning, Cesaro began to dominate. Nakamura and Dorado got tagged in early, and Nakamura appeared to be having a difficult time. Over the ropes, Metalik ran a considerable dive and moved out Cesaro, later Dorado moved Nakamura out of the ring.
Cesaro was back inside the ring after Dorado went for hitting Nakamura with Golden Rewind. Cesaro was successful in hitting the Sunset Flip and winning the match. Cesaro and Nakamura retained the title they have.
Results: Lucha House Party got defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.
3. Naomi vs. Sasha Banks: Beat the Clock Match
At about 30 seconds, Naomi was hitting full Nelson, and Sasha was having a difficult time. About a minute in, Sasha was moved out, but she managed to have the momentum when they were inside the ring again.
At minute two, Naomi got stuck in a hold, and she made her comeback with a crossbody from the top. The Banks Statement was locked in, and this made Naomi tap out at 3:39 before it was Bayley to receive the chance.
Result: Naomi got defeated by Sasha Banks
4. Naomi vs. Bayley
At SmackDown, as the match started on, Naomi Bayley unloaded, and she maintained the pressure and then moved her into the turnbuckles.
Bayley went for hitting the clothesline, and on the clock, it was less than 2 minutes remaining. Naomi hit a sudden Rearview and marked her victory on the show right before SummerSlam 2020.
Result: Bayley got defeated by Naomi
5. Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles (c) – An International Championship match
Jeff Hardy started strong in the show, and he went for hitting the injured knee of AJ by ripping off his pants and exposing the knee brace. Hardy was going to attempt for a top rope move after he had moved Styles outside. But AJ was moved out by the champ before we had a quick break.
After the break, we saw that Jeff continued to hold on to the match, and he was hitting dropkicks before he went for hitting a Pele kick. Jeff slipped off the ropes and fell at the corner; he then went for dodging the Phenomenal Forearm.
AJ locked in a calf crusher, but Jeff managed to move out. AJ then went for the finisher, but he got hit by the knee brace of Jeff. AJ then took a Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb to win the match at SmackDown.
Result: Jeff Hardy is the winner and the new Intercontinental Champion
Concluding WWE SmackDown 21st August 2020 Show
Live from Thunderdome, it was a great first night back to a more conventional SmackDown. We had fewer fights this week. Beat the Clock challenge and AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy was among the top highlights of this week’s SmackDown episode. Twice Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman were seen in the show; meanwhile, Mandy Rose got a bothersome challenge by Sonya.
