1.Jey Uso vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
On the last episode of SmackDown, Nakamura earned three consecutive victories in the Gauntlet Match. The match was to determine who will be facing The Big Dog at the upcoming PPV of WWE. In the Gauntlet Match, Nakamura got attacked by Roman Reigns, and Jey Uso took away his chance to win the match and face The Big Dog at Royal Rumble 2021.
To take revenge, The King of Strong Style decided to face Jey Uso in a one on one match at SmackDown’s opening contest.
Before the match began, Uso praised Roman Reigns and confirmed his entry for the Royal Rumble 2021 match. To respond to Uso, Nakamura began to do some of his name-callings and hit Uso with a kick.
Accidentally Nakamura hits a headfirst, and Uso took full advantage without wasting time and went for a pin attempt. Uso moved his legs on the ropes, but the WWE officials spotted it and did not give him the three count.
Uso was furious and began to argue with the referee; Nakamura used the opportunity by taking control of the match and winning the game by hitting a Kinshasa.

2.Liv Morgan vs Natalya
Billie Kay had become a member of the Riott Squad, however, an unofficial one. Billie showed up with the Riott Squad and joined the commentator’s team.
Natalya showed good strength in the beginning, and she was taunting Liv.
Morgan got driven into turnbuckles. The moment Natalya was to receive the pin, she got rolled up by Liv.

During the show, The Big Dog and Paul Heyman made some changes in the contract of Roman Reigns match against Adam Pearce at Royal Rumble 2021. Roman demanded that Adam Pearce should sign the contract by the end of the night.
